M-1 Concourse is an 87 acre development, formally GM Truck, located on corner of Woodward and South Blvd and is now home to 130 Car Condominium’s and a 1.5 mile performance track.
Additional demolition included building foundations, tunnels and pits and over 23,000lf of existing utilities.
Earthwork included moving and placing over 137,000cy of fill, placing 27,000tons of aggregate base and fine grading 3.4 million square feet.
June 24, 2015- Begin Demolition and Earthwork
August 15, 2015- Building Pads Prepped
October 15, 2015- Site ready for paving, earthwork and utilities substantially complete.
Iafrate recommended cost savings, approved by the Owners rep SME, to reuse the processed concrete and asphalt as utility trench backfill and only removing foundations 5’ below grade saving the owner hundreds of thousands of dollars.
